FAQs

If you’re wondering if therapy might be right for you, we encourage you to consider that while therapy is a process that can be used to heal, it can also be used to strengthen our abilities and enhance our performance. You don’t need to wait until you are in crisis to act!

What types of athletes, professionals, and clients do you typically work with?

Throughout my journey in graduate school and private practice, I've had the privilege of collaborating with high achievers from diverse athletic backgrounds spanning basketball, football, weightlifting, fencing, soccer, lacrosse, competitive dance, gymnastics, archery, triathletes, marathon runners, hockey, swimming, track and field, and beyond. From the pool to the track, and even motorcycle racing circuits, I've provided support to athletes pushing the boundaries of their performance in various arenas. Additionally, my experience extends to partnering with driven professionals across industries such as law, sales, IT, UX research, and medicine.

While my portfolio reflects a wide spectrum of expertise, I deeply understand that each individual, regardless of their sport or profession, brings a unique set of challenges and aspirations. Whether you're a seasoned athlete striving for excellence or a business professional navigating the complexities of your field, my approach is tailored to meet you where you are. Together, we'll explore your goals, address obstacles, and chart a path toward growth and fulfillment.

How often do you see clients and how long does each therapy session take?

Typically, we recommend that we meet weekly for 45-50 minutes, until you have seen the change you desire.  However, every client is different, and treatment interventions vary based on need!

What is your approach to treatment?

We are evidence-based practitioners who select treatment approaches for each client based on the scientific literature.  Typically, these approaches fall under the cognitive therapy domain.  We often employ strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), the Unified Protocol (UP), and motivational interviewing (MI). We regularly incorporate mindfulness based practices as well as performance psychology techniques into our work.

Do you take insurance or offer sliding scale rates?

At this point in time, we do not take insurance or offer sliding scale rates.  We are happy to provide referrals to clinicians who do if that is what you need to take part in the therapeutic process!
